an open rehearsal

of artists' spaces
while listening to
psionic vibrations
I've asked Charith to
put together strings
for a clarinet quintet
To read and contrast
two arrangements of the
Saint-Saëns Op. 167
sonata for clarinet and piano

The idea for these
arrangements came while
I was resurveying classical
clarinet literature
for a student
When listening to this
piece, I thought it would
sound great with strings
However executing the
arrangement was tricky
in terms of the range
of the string instruments
So, I prepared one version
in the original key of Eb
for the original Bb clarinet
Then I prepared a version
that fit
the strings' range
in the key of A and scored
that for the A clarinet

spans both weekend
days
