For many older works  
I only had paper copies
or unreadable early PDFs

I've enjoyed the 
editorial moment 
clarifying notation and 
distilling complicated arrangements

I launched two quartets
Corpus X and Corpus Y

meeting alternate weeks
playing through lead sheets

It is great to get feedback 
from a fresh set of ears

learning how accessible 
each song is and 
how much of the song 
is really on the page

In order to make
informed decisions 
about what to produce next
and fine-tune the charts
