As we enter the late middle pandemic
a fun weekly gig
in Hayes valley
An early weeknight Jam session
at a neighborhood cafe
playing out into the streets
We present a trio house band
Usually saxophone
with rotating personnel
on bass and drums
And sitters-in from all walks
One result of playing out
has been getting offers
to play in other bands
I've been gigging at local
venues like Comstock Saloon,
Belle Cora, Gestalt, and
the Lucky Horseshoe
This week, I'm playing at

This weekly coffee house
jam session had been
my favorite place to sit in
And now that I've been
running it since March,
it is my favorite gig
We've kept the format of rotating
rhythm section all-stars,
including bassists Carl Herder,
Carloline Chang and Paul Yago,
and drummers Pepe Jacobo,
Ryan Glick and Mike Rose.
