This event is called Towards a
Solidarity Economics Conduction
System for Improvisors
Experience the debut of a
facilitation process Marshall
Trammell, an experimental
percussionist and critical
ethnographer known as Music
Research Strategies (MRS).
The goal is to develop
an international conduction
system based on the principles
of participatory research,
Solidarity Economics, the
virtues of Improvisation,
and emancipatory technologies
from the Underground Railroad.
The ensemble includes:
Amy Reed, Dillon Vado,
Sharmi Basu, Bruce Ackley,
Biggi Vinkeloe, Kim Nucci,
Tom Bickley, Kevin Lo,
Jemma DeCristo (JD Marcus),
David Elaine Alt and Tracy Hui
Attempting to achieve positive
narrative and policy changes
through sound, musiking, dreaming
together and action on and beyond
the limit of the bandstand.
Audience members are encouraged
to participate.
The program will include:
* An interactive discussion on
navigating the global economy
* An introduction to the secret,
UGRR quilt block codes
* An interactive process of
reimagining and redesigning
those and related codes
(signs) to render a new,
creative economy
* Three or more iterations of the
conduction system in performance,
* Critical analysis from performers
and other attendees
Music Research Strategies will
facilitate the event and
maintain the digital, community
archive, or ArchiVerse.
And then the full alt.musica
chamber orchestra performs
two sets Saturday afternoon
at 2:15PM and 3:45pm.
