Teaching Saxophone & Clarinet
It's been rewarding to turn some
of my energies towards
writing exercises to match
my students' current attentions,
rounding out their other materials.
Even though it I've only been
teaching some of them for
a few months, it is a bit
bittersweet to see them graduate.
But I look forward to getting
more students and going through
that even more!
Recordings & Videos
This year, alt.musica captured
on video two performances
as part of the Parallel Play
series with Peggy Gyulai and
Jeremy Sutton.
We were able to premiere
some new collaborative works,
allowed me to stretch out on
saxophone, and my voice.
We also conducted open
rehearsals as part of Open Studios
at Flaming Hakama, followed by
sessions recording backing tracks
for the vocal tunes in our repertoire.
Once we're on the other side of
editing and mixing all of this
audio and video,
I'll share the results.

I was thrilled to be asked to play
lead tenor saxophone in the
Awesöme Orchestra's Big Band,
which is the featured entertainment
at its fundraising event this weekend.
The Awesöme Pröm is a 21+
(anti)prom-themed fundraiser party,
which will provide the Awesöme
Orchestra Collective support needed
in order to fund:
* Commissions by local composers,
* Featured orchestral works by female composers
* Collaborations with local artists!
We've also lined up
